Question : I took 40 mg of lasix on Monday afternoon around 5 p.m. Willit be detected inmy urine at all on Thursday morning? This is because of a drug test I take on thursday morning

Hi,

Half life of furosemide is about 100 minutes. That means that in 100 minutes, half the drug is cleared.

It takes 5-6 half lives for a drug to be out of your body; so for lasix/furosemide, that would be 600 minutes or 10 hours. Thus, you should be clear by Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon for sure.
