Question : I am a 59 year old female with already had yearly physical with same results of all ok with a history of no medical conditions, normal blood pressure, no cholesterol issues, all blood work lab work ok, runner of 3 to 5x a week, 7 minute interval work out daily, sleep average of 7 hours for last 3 weeks notice intermittent tingle, mild numbing sensation in my left arm never felt before thinking about contacting internist should I? only result was B12 levels were higher than should be & have not been taking any b12 supplements since

Hi,

I would insist you to get your blood counts checked. Macrocytic anemia would indicate that vitamin B12 is not reaching where it is required. If that is the case, the apparently increased vitamin B12 levels could be explained. That could happen if the 'Castle's intrinsic factor' (which required to absorb vitamin B12 is inadequate and that in turn could possibly explain why you are having that sensation.
