Brief Answer:
Many possible causes

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Pain in fingers could have many possible causes including repetitive movements, low calcium/vitamin D, high uric acid, cervical spine disc problem. Other less likely causes are autoimmune conditions like SLE, psoriasis, synovitis etc. Do you have any other symptoms or medical conditions.

You can get an X-Ray done under orthopedic surgeon's guidance to find exact cause. Blood tests to check for calcium, vitamin D and uric acid levels can be done.

Regarding lifestyle, you may avoid prolonged sitting and keep your spine posture appropriate. Taking a break every half to one hour is needed. Using Hand grips and finger strengthening exercises can help. Doing stretches and yoga that help strengthen shoulders and back muscles will also help. Avoid lifting laptop bag or heavy purse on your shoulders. Trolley bag would be better.
