Can Eye Strain Everyday Because Of High BP?

Question : mild headache along with eye strain everyday evening past 2 days. feeling anxiety. I am afraid if there is any issue in the brain due to high triglycerides level. I have visited cardiologist a month before for triglycerides issue to check if i have devloped any heart desease, but they said i am perfectly alright.

Hello,

Eye strain and headache could be from many causes including high blood pressure, continuous laptop/phone use and anxiety etc. Please record your blood pressure regularly and get vision evaluated.

High triglyceride is not a disease. Rather it is level of cholesterol and cannot itself cause another symptom. It is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases like hypertension, etc.

Thank you for the reply doctor. I thought the triglycerides creating block in the brain veins which in turn gives symptoms like headache, eye strain and confusions etc.. I thought this is early symptoms of brain disorder. I checked my blood pressure everytime I visit hospital and nobody told me I have high blood pressure. I am wearing smart watch which indicate my BPM level range between 70 to 100 in day time while working in laptop. Hope I am perfectly alright.

I think you are thinking about stroke or mini-stroke. They will also cause some nerve damage and weakness/paralysis as a result. You can get yourself evaluated by a surgeon or neurologist. He may suggest further tests like CT scan of head if needed.

So currently you have symptoms like headache, eye strain and confusion. What other symptoms are you having? How is your energy and sleeping habits?

I have back pain and left shoulder pain and frequent yawning sometimes. I am feeling weak somtimes not always and I am sleeping 7 hours everyday.

It could be anxiety. Since you have left shoulder pain, I will suggest that you get an ECG done as well to rule any heart problem. You could visit an internal medicine specialist for a detailed cardiovascular examination and testing.
