Question : Hello Doctor,

I have a 2 weeks old baby. We went for his passport application today and the person taking his photo flashed camera light in his eyes around 4-5 times. He tried to take the correct photo around 20 times but baby's eyes were open in around 4-5 times.
I am afraid if this would have done some harm to the baby's eyes.
Request for your advice.

Thanks & Regards,
Ashish

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely to cause damage.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking query.

See it may cause permanent damage to retina yet its very uncommon and so Definitely not pediatrician visit worthy.
So don't worry too much but from next time try to avoid such situations.

No tests suggested.
Thanks!
