Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
I will reply your queries one by one.
Both gonorrhoea and chlamydia infection can remain asymptomatic in large number of men as well as women.
Although 1 gm AZITHROMYCIN stat in single dose is the standard treatment for chlamydia infection, treatment of gonorrhoea is always done by combination of two antibiotics because of high resistance chances against a single drug.
AZITHROMYCIN in 1 gm dose is generally supplemented with either a single injection of ceftriaxone 500 mg intramuscular or with oral tablet of oofloxacin in the dose of 400 mg ( single dose ) or with ciprofloxacin 500 mg ( single dose )
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
