Question : Can hemorroids cause a lot of bleeding?

                                    Brief Answer:
Haemorrhoids can cause lot of bleeding
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Haemorrhoids can cause lot of bleeding.
Clinical examination and Proctoscopy can confirm the diagnosis.
If the bleeding is heavy,I advise COLONOSCOPY to my patients. In some, polyps, adenomas , malignancy etc can cause bleeding. If polyp is present,it can be removed by COLONOSCOPY and send for Histopathological examination (Biopsy). Biopsy can be taken from a growth.
Surgical Gastroenterologist should be consulted.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health
Regards
