Question : My query to Dr XXXXXXX heijebu.

Hi doctor, This query is regarding hepatitis b. I just want to ask that whether hepatitis B can be spreaded during sex even though there was no ejaculation while doing that. Also want to ask that can blow jobs lead to spread hepatitis B to the female who is doing that because urine is also one of the causes that lead to hepatitis B.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Yes, such acts can transmit the virus.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Yes, Hep B can be transmitted during sexual act even though there is no ejaculations.

Any body fluid possess the risk of transmitting Hep B virus.

Even a blow job has such a similar risk.

Sexual acts are related to exchange of fluids , hence exchange of infection when one of the partner harbours the infection.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
