sir what is skin to skin contact means. How about herpes patients in XXXXXXX compared to US and other countries
Brief Answer:
Only skin to skin contact of sexual nature transmits herpes infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Herpes is a local infection of genital skin. Therefore skin to skin contact pertaining to genital herpes refers to direct skin to skin contact of GENITAL skin i.e of sexual nature, as would happen during a sexual intercourse. Skin to skin contact of non-sexual nature e.g during a massage or touching/ rubbing of genitalia, does not transmit herpes virus. In simple words, herpes virus does not pass through the skin of hands!!
Genital herpes is the most common STD in XXXXXXX and abroad. Herpes virus is transmitted the same way in XXXXXXX as compared to US or other western countries i.e through vaginal, anal or oral sex but never through massage or touching genitalia with hands.
Regards
