Brief Answer:
Yes, Hypothyroidism is associated with CTS

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
I suppose by saying Hypothyroidis you mean "Hypothyroidism". In case you mean Hypothyroiditis please let me know.

So, Yes, Hypothryroidism is associated with Carpal Tunnel syndrome.
It is a well known association.

Now your next question would be why!

And your answer is due to Myxedema in untreated Hypothyroidism. Myxedema produces a cutaneous and dermal odema caused by excess deposition of glycosaminoglycans, hyalauronic acid and some mucopolyssacharides in subcutaneous tissues leading to dermatological complications and also deposition of pseudo mucinous substances on the median nerve sheath leading to compression of Median nerve causing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any query you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
