Can Hypothyroidism Cause Nausea?

I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I agree with your that your symptoms could be related to a thyroid hormone imbalance.
Other possible causes to consider would be: blood pressure fluctuations, low fasting glucose or an electrolyte imbalance.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- complete blood count for anemia
- a resting ECG
- thyroid hormone levels
- blood electrolytes
- kidney and liver function tests.
In the meantime, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values frequently during the day (in sitting position, after 10 minutes of total relax).
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
