Brief Answer: Pregnancy is unlikely Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing to us. As you have taken the emergency medication within the stipulated time interval, you are almost completely protected. The period you saw the week after the medication is the withdrawal bleeding. Since you have had a normal period afterward, everything seems fine with that incident. The cause of the delay in this period may not be related to the emergency pill intake during your last cycle; it should be a different issue. You cannot be pregnant with the incident in the previous cycle. If you still are sexually active, you should indeed, suspect a pregnancy. I would suggest investigation if you do not see your period in the next week. Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help. regards, Shanti.V.
