Question: I have been on prostap for 4 years. Can i get pregnant with unprotected sex?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Prostap basically shuts down the function of the ovaries, that is, inhibits ovulation.
HOwever, at times, erratic ovulation has been reported even while on Prostap.
Patients are asked to use a non hormonal contraceptive whilst on Prostap.
At 43, and 4 years with Prostap, the chances of a pregnancy are very remote, but yes, scientifically speaking, you CAN get pregnant with unprotected sex.
The possibility is not zero, though very very remote.
