                                    Brief Answer:
It may be a risk.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern towards the possible interaction between these two drugs.
Use of MDMA with beta-blocker like Propranolol may increase the chance of high blood pressure and heart problems which can occur if high doses of the combinations of these drugs are taken together.
In view of the possibility of the above mentioned risk, you are therefore advised to take an opinion from your treating doctor.
Hope this suggestion helps you in getting the solution for your problem.
Should you need more explanation, please feel free to send your query.
Regards.

                                    Dear Dr Taher XXXXXXX
Many thanks for your helpful reply.
In the end I did not take Propranolol and went to sleep with the fear of heart attack! Nevertheless I still have the increased heart rate (last night was 120 and now is around 110!), and I was wondering if there's anyway to take that under control?
By the way do I need to be worried about a small chest pain I've had since last night?
Regrads and thanks

                                    Brief Answer:
Your chest pain needs to be investigated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back to HCM.
Thanks for your compliments.
Since you have been diagnosed to have mitral valve prolapse and you get the chest pain even though it is mild in nature, I would advice you to get examined by a doctor for a possible EKG just to rule out any underlying problem if you have.
Wishing you best of your health.
