Can be safely taken together with some precautions.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your query and understand your concerns.
Advil is ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) whereas prednisone are steroids.
There is no drug interaction between prednisone and ibuprofen.
However both ibuprofen & prednisone can cause gastro-intestinal side effects in the form of heartburn, dyspepsia ,gastric erosion etc.
Hence they should be taken after food along with antacids e.g. proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole 40 mg or ranitidine 150 mg to avoid stomach related side effects.
So, both these medicines can be safely taken together with some precautions.
But be in regular consultation with your doctor.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
