Question: I was taking on retilin a day (methylphenidate 20mg ) for about a year...to stay focus.I recently stopped .Instead I am taking 2 clonazepam twice a day ( o.25 mg ) because I had "ringing" in the head and pressure on my brain.A recent MRI shows that everything is normal. My neurologist is away and my question is...
Can I still take a retilin one a day as I feel that i have no energy...?
I am 64 year old and run a small B&B.

Brief Answer:
yes you can take methylphenidate

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.

I understand ypur concern.
Methylphenidate is mostly used in attention deficit disorders of children but also used in adults having similar problems. It has no drug interaction or contraindication with clonazepam. I guess you can take it daily.
If such patient presented to me, i would have also suggested healthy diet, brisk exercise and a course of multivitamin syrup for a month. It will help you regain your energy.

Hope this was helpful.
