                                            Better to avoid this combination
Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome to "Ask A Doctor service" service. I have read your question and here is my advice.
We need to exercise great caution and better avoid to use the said combination.
Infact the advil cold contains three drugs that is ibuprofen, chlorphenaramine and phenylephrine.
We generally avoid using ibuprofen with lisinopril. This is because ibuprofen may reduce the BP lowering effect of lisinopril, besides this combination may badly effect your kidneys. So we avoid using the two, specially for prolong times.
Similarly phenylephrine(another component of advil cold ) may also cause raise BP.
So we recommend not using advil cold with lisinopril, though it can be used with great caution keeping eye on your BPand renal functions.
A better and safe alternative would be to use paracetamol and avil tablets which may help your flue symptoms and do not have any major interactions with lisinopril. You may talk to your doc.
Hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to ask anything else you need to know.
Kind regards Dr Mahboob ur Rahman
