Question: i am in my 11th week of pregnancy. my eyes feel very irritated and dry due to regular computer usage at work. is it safe to use 'Refresh tears' eye drops during pregnancy?

Refresh tears are not contraindicated during pregnancy, however please make sure that you use the ones with transient preservative or no preservative so as to minimise the risk of developing allergic reaction in the eyes.

It would be preferable to use plain saline drops instead of refresh eye drops.

Apart from this, you should also change your habits of computer usage, you should look away from the monitor every minute and should blink your eyes very often.

Dry eyes are caused by not blinking eyes as much as we should, so correcting that problem is the first step in treatment.
