Question : Ok, I have had a bit of a bout with IBS the past week or two. I have felt some intermittent pain just below my right breast not always but sometimes feels like a small belch coming or I do belch. Is this likely trapped gas? How do I get rid of it after 3 or 4 days. Mild pain intermittent
Brief Answer:
Gastroesophageal reflux
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Right sided pain along with belch could be due to gastroesophageal reflux.
You will get good relief by taking OTC Prilosec once daily before breakfast for 4 weeks.
Also avoid alcohol, smoking, coffee, citrus, chocolates, fatty food. Eat multiple smaller meals and go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.
