Question : my friend received a HEP-B vaccine directly into her vein what can result from this?
Brief Answer:
it wont work
Detailed Answer:
Hi
If given intravenously hepatitis B vaccine won't work. Other dangers of IV route administration of hep B vaccine are thromboplebitis (swelling of vein wall ), anaphylaxis and thromboembolism. These adverse events usually occur within 24 hours. If your friend is fit and fine after 24 hours of injection, then I wouldn't be worried. However this vaccine will not benefit him.
Hope I answered your query
