Question : Hi...hope I'm not wearing the Doctors out regarding my questions regarding Microscopic colitis(MC)...I have Lymphocytic(LC). Here's my current question...In my doing other research, I see a natural treatment...KEFIR (probiotic drink/like drinkable yogurt). The writer who has MC says it really works. Would appreciate opinion regarding what you Doctors "think". Thank You !!
Brief Answer:
You can take Kefir
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Kefir contains useful probiotic bacteria which have shown to reduce the inflammation associated with microscopic colitis. You can safely consume Kefir. However, please make sure that you take cholestyramine as prescribed along with kefir.
