Brief Answer:
Low calorie diets, electrolyte disturbances

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. Your Diastolic BP is a measure of pressure needed to pump blood through your blood vessels. Such changes in your diastolic blood pressure normally mean there are big chnages happening to your muscle tone.

These kinds of changes can be very serious and in the background situation of a low calorie diet can signify metabolic problems due to the lack of key nutrients like electrolytes in your blood stream. I seriously suggest you go back to a normal balanced diet as soon as you can and hydrate well to make sure that your are getting adequate blood flow to your major organs.

After which i suggest you watch you blood pressure for a few more days. If the large swings in diastolic continue, then you will need to see a cardiologist for an EKG.

I hope this makes sense. Looking forward to your follow-up
