Question: Iron level 32. All labs been checked several times in past 2 months. Recommended auto transfusion, but had reaction, given IV Benadryl. Want to try this procedure again, but I am unsure of another reaction. Other po, what can I take

It’s a bit strange why auto transfusion would cause a reaction. I will recommend you try this again. However, am curious as to why this was recommended. What were your recent blood hemoglobin levels are.

I look forward hearing back from you... There is no strong reason to shy from auto transfusion as the reaction is atypical and not common with this.

Get your HB up before the surgery!

Hi,

I think the cancellation will gives enough time to build your hemoglobin to higher levels before surgery. This might also take away the need for any transfusion.
