Question: I had malaria during my childhood successively for 2 times (around the age of 14). Can I get malaria again ?

I listened somewhere that malaria makes you immune. So you can't have it again in future

Brief Answer:
Yes you can have it again

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query at HealthcareMagic.

Getting malaria does invoke Immunoglobulins (immunity) which is somewhat protective but is not completely protective. If an infected mosquito bites, you can get malaria again. Since you have immunity developed, malaria will not be severe in your case. You do need to take precautions to protect against getting malaria.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
