Question : I am 76 years old and suffer from chronic back pain and I cannot take the heavy duty pain medicines. I am wondering is medical marijuana would be something that would help but I cannot find a doctor who prescribes it in Winnipeg, I am lost when it comes to finding anything out about this and do not know where to turn. Would you have any information that would help me?

Brief Answer:
Marijuana is a pain medication.

Detailed Answer:
It, chemical derivatives of it, and chemicals made up to look like it are all being evaluated for pain. Unfortunately, the original plant derived has not been equaled by the more reliably made chemical forms. Indeed, there has been a huge amount of problems with chemically made marijuana substitutes both from illegal sources (bath salts) and from legitimate pharmaceutical firms.
