Question : I am on lucette I had taken a full 21 pill pack all at 7am I decided I didn't want my period this month as I've a lot of courses on with work, so I decided to run 2 packs back to back, on the first day of my 2nd pack I had diarrhoea about say possibly 2 hrs after but it could have been 1 1/2 thing is it didn't even XXXXXXX on me about taking another pill that day as it was the one bout, I suffered some more diarrhoea during the week as the reason I was having it was that I had to take senokot as that weekend I had suffered back constipation as I'm coeliac and had had some tummy bother, could this then be classed as a missed pill? I had sex 5 days later and my bf came in me I always take my pills at 7 am and continue to do so, but do you think I've been really stupid and that could have affected my protection? It didn't even XXXXXXX on me until the weekend and I'm worrying like mad now xx

So even if the pill was classed as "misssd" due to the diarrhea it would be ok, as i continue ro finish the packet and then i will take my break week abd start the next pack

Brief Answer:

No risk for pregnancy

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

If you have completed the 21 pills, you are protected for 21 days and the next 7 days also. During this time you will not get pregnant even if you had unprotected sex.

I believe that you decided to take the pills back to back but missed to take a pill during this period.

If the missed pill was within the 21+7 day period, there is no risk for pregnancy.

However, after the 7 day break period, you have to restart the pills and continue for the next 21 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The dose will not be considered missed if you had diarrhoea immediately after taking the pill.

The dose is considered missed if you had vomiting immediately after taking the pill.

You can continue to finish the packet And take the break week after finishing the 21 doses.

It is not advisable to take the pill packets back to back without the break week for more than 2 consecutive months. So please be sure that you take the break week.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
