Brief Answer:
There is no pneumonia like picture in the chest xray

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The chest X-ray pictures which you sent do not show and severe pneumonia like condition.

There are no patches or cavities, there is no fluid collection and the lung inflation is good.

If you are having cough then it is likely from mildly hyperactive airways in the lung and that is seen as mild prominence of the lung markings. This is however to be thought of only in the background of continuing mild cough symptoms.

Therefore there is no pneumonia like picture and you may job if you do not have any serious respiratory symptoms.

You may like to write in with your clinical symptoms and discuss in detail.

I have a history of asthma flare ups so I have a feeling that's what I am going through or if I start coughing up green mucus here in the next day or two then it's bronchitis like my doctor think but did the x ray to make sure not pneumonia because of my extensive history of getting pneumonia easily

Brief Answer:
No pneumonia feature in the chest xray picture

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The points you have mentioned are the exact areas which I would be interested in.

I can see the possibility of a mild flare up and hyperactivity in the lung markings and it fits in to the picture of mild bronchitis as mentioned in the previous reply.

There is no area of patchy consolidation or any cavity or fluid collection in the chest areas. So I conclude that there is no pneumonia like condition.

However if symptoms do not improve even after 2 weeks and with recommended treatment and the mucus and cough with expectoration persists or increases, then I would surely suggest a review of clinical examination and a repeat chest X-ray.
