Question: i was told that i cannot get pregnant by a doctor while i am breastfeeding but lately i have been noticing that i am showing signs of a pregnant woman and i am tired more in XXXXXXX but i just chaked it up to being a single mother of two and a heavy schoolwork load could i b pregnant doctor

Thanks for your query.

The chances of getting pregnant while breastfeeding are very less because the hormones are secreting normally and ovum is net getting secreted. Sometimes the normal monthly hormonal balance restores when the breast milk is less (or other reasons) and may lead to ovulation.

Though the chances of getting pregnant while breast feeding are very less, you can get the urinary pregnancy test done at home to rule it out. There may be other reasons for tiredness like sleeplessness, anemia, nutritional deficiencies, hypothyroidism, etc. You may also get your blood tests done at 6 month after date of delivery.
