Question: Shall I take monolaurin and oregano oil for herpes even though I iave never had an outbreak in my life?. I learned that I was positive last April for herpes 1 and 2, 6.98 IGG for 1 and 2.48 IGG for 2. Specialist did not prescribed medicines given I don't have manifestations. I developed neuropathy in my feet over a year ago, right foot primarly. went away in XXXXXXX returned last month.

Thank you so much Doctor, I met with two neurologists last year, performed all kinds of tests and they could not find cause, and I'm not even diabetic. So I decided to test for all STDs , HIV, chalmadia, gonorrhea, etc. all negative, except the herpes 1 and 2. Which was positive. So I thought that was the culprit. I am taking, l lysine, vit b complex, vit c and d, alpha lo pic acid, acetyl l cartinine, the few that I remember., and read about monolorium and oil of oregano, so I'll take them even with no outbreaks in my life, and I'm already 64 yrs old.
So my hsv infection, is it considered silent then, dormant?

Dr. Thank you, shall I take the oregano oil with a carrier oil, like, olive oil, I heard that it is very strong to take be itself?. I have always been healthy, but. Was terrified about my herpes status and the foot neuropathy. Hoping it does not cause any big issues. Don't consider myself inmunodeficient.

And DR, the monolaurin, I understand to have an antiviral effect, there is a number of milligrams to take, I started with pills, but I also saw on XXXXXXX that they sell like granules that you scoop up and take with water, I know I have no outbreaks, lesions, etc, ever, will this diminish any chances of becoming active, since I was concerned about the neuropathy in my feet.

Dr. I have another concern. Like I said before. My neuropathy in my feet started in late November or so in 2016. I took the XXXXXXX myself and tested negative for HIV in January 31, February 15, march 15, march 21, and April 12, this was last year, 2017. 4 of those tests was the 4th generation HIV 1/2, and one was an HIV RNA 1 test, they all came back negative. My neuropathy went away in XXXXXXX 2017
And returned in December, I'm I safe to say that these 5 tests were conclusive, or shall I worry now about HIV.?
