Brief Answer:
Both test positive for opiates but specific tests will differ

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The percocet contains acetaminophen and oxycodone which is a pain relief combination.

2. If your doctor is running the test for opiates then both hydrocodone and percocet will give positive result.

3. If they do specific tests then hydrocodone and percocet will have different metabolites and therefore variable results

In conclusion, it depends on the exact test which your doctor will be implementing and if it is for opiates then there will be no difference whether you take hydrocodone or percocet.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
