Question: Hi,
I am 9 months pregnant.I am having lots of raw rice.Is it harmful for my baby? Recently I did the blood test and my hemoglobin count is 10.7

hello, Thanks for the query to HCM,
As you are already 9 months pregnant and in the last trimester ,then the craving for raw rice per se cannot affect the foetus but can always cause a gastrointestinal pain in lower abdomen and can present as enteritis. So raw rice eating should be avoided.

Secondly a Hemoglobin of 10 gm% indicates anaemia and at 3rd trimester , the haemoglobin as per XXXXXXX standards should be higher than at least 11gm%.
