The thyroid blood test result can be different from that in the past if you have newly developed a thyroid condition.
But as you say your tests show normal results now, despite having symptoms of an under-active thyroid, it is still quite likely that your thyroid is indeed functioning normally.
However, thyroid matters can be complex and there are some uncommon thyroid problems that occasionally show apparently normal-looking laboratory tests.
