Brief Answer:
There is no relation between spinal stenosis and hair loss

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.

I carefully went through your question. Spinal stenosis does not cause hail loss. There is no relation between the two. You have lost so much weight and sometimes quick changes in our bodies might cause cells that have fast replication (like hair cells) to have problem with their growth and stop in a certain phase causing thinning of the hair.

Some other thing I would say is checking the thyroid hormone levels in blood (TSH test) might be advisable to rule out problems with your thyroid as sometimes when thyroid does not function well might cause problems with hair loss or hair thinning.

So to conclude I would say:
- there is no medical relation between spinal stenosis and hair loss
- loosing weight quickly might effect the regeneration process of the hair follicles and cause thinning of them.
- TSH blood test might be good to be checked if not done the last 2 years to rule out thyroid problems.

I hope this is helpful and answers to your questions but please feel free to write me in case any more questions related to this.

Kind regards,
