Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I understand your concern and would like to explain that psychological stress can affect ECG pattern as can also physical stress do.

Nevertheless, more important than just any kind of ECG pattern is clinical symptomatology.

If you are not experiencing symptoms like suspicious chest pain, dyspnea, etc. ECG changes lose their significance.

From the other side, even when certain symptomatology is present coupled with ECG changes not rarely coronary arteries result normal (especially in women of your age).

If you are experiencing chest pain or any other equivalent complaints, and have any coronary risk factors (hypertension, glucose metabolism disorder or diabetes, dyslipidemia, are a smoker or has heredity for CAD), then cardiac stress test or any other imagine modality like cardiac stress ECHO, etc. would be a rationale screening option.

You shouldn't feel scared. And don't worry about, as your have not any important clinical symptomatology or any confirmed myocardial ischemia yet.

I would like to directly review your ECG records. And also any possible clinical symptomatology.

Please, could you upload your ECG here?

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for your additional information. Considering your correctly controlled hypertension and no any other obvious coronary risk factors, I would like to assure you to not worry too much about.

I recommend checking your blood lipid profile, fasting glucose just to be sure everything is OK.

I am not so sure that stress test would reveal any reliable conclusion in the absence of chest pain.

Please upload your ECG records when possible.

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
