Brief Answer: NO, this may be syncope Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this TIA. Stress cannot cause TIA. If these symptoms were not correlated by findings on a CT scan suggestive of a blood clot, then this might not have been a TIA. Stress can leaf to a vasovagal syncope that can mimic this presentation of syncope. I will like you to describe the exact symptoms that he suffered for me to see whether it is more suggestive of a TIA or could be something else. In all, stress cannot easily cause TIA.
