Brief Answer:
Please provide me more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, thanks for asking

I can understand your concern.
Please provide me more details about her problem.

What kind of stress does she have?

Does she have problems like low mood, persistent pervasive irritability, negative thoughts, lack of interest in anything etc?

Has she developed any symptoms like anger outbursts and violent abusive spells? Any problems of hitting others?

Any relation to her symptoms with menstrual cycle?

Mood swings could be due to her underlying stress and this can be received by low dose anti-anxiety drugs and proper counseling. But if her mood swings are persistent and are resulting in impairment in functions and also cause problems in the relationship then that can't be ignored.

In that case, a psychiatrist should be consulted in person. This could be due to mood disorder like depressive disorder or bipolar disorder and this should be properly evaluated.

Thanks.
Take care.
