Question : Can swollen internal hemorrhoids block or significantly inhibit the ability to empty bowel

I am attempting to figure out if applying a hemorrhoid cream might reduce swelling enough for me to be able to continue passing stools until I have completely emptied my bowel

Hemorrhoids can certainly cause obstruction while passing stools.

Hemorrhoids cannot be cured by application of ointment.

Hemorrhoids can be treated only by surgery.

Meanwhile, daily use of Oral laxatives can be considered to improve the bowel movement.
