Can Teeth Enamel Be Grown Back?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: Is there a way to grow back the teeth enamel? I've had habits of biting nails and, chirping, and in result of that my front line bottom tooth totally spoiled. I have sharp sensation on everything I take and presume I've lost the whole enamel crown.

Brief Answer:
Attrition, RCT, capping, desensitizers

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.

As far as the loss of enamel(attrition) is considered it can be because of your nail biting habit or deep bite.

Nothing to panic, it can be treated with root canal treatment and capping. This is the permanent solution. Mean while you can use desensitizing tooth paste like strontium chloride. If it is secondary to deep bite, it has to be corrected by braces or orthodontic treatment.

Consult an oral physician and get it evaluated.

These are the possible causes and treatment plan according to your description of your problem. If you can upload the images I can give the exact diagnosis and treatment plan.

I hope my answer will help you. Take care.

If any queries are there reply me back.
