Question : Hi. I just had a implant w bone graft under sinus. I had 3 done! Two last year went into sinus and I had to get a sinuplasty! And all the work was lost. So unfortunately I have to redo. Well two went fine. But I have allergies so each time it’s an ordeal w sinus problems. But at least no sinuplasty. This one? He also repaired some dead tissue in gym from failed procedure. He took my blood and made a solution w wbc’s To heal it? The work seems great. But unfortunately. I feel severe pressure in sinus Like last year. Oh no! I have to take ephedrine all day. And NyQuil nighttime helps at night. Plus Tylenol. I’m rinsing w saline ever 2-4 hours! My nose is red! And I have nasonex and grapefruit seed spray. I’m trying whatever I can. And steam inhaler I’m also on doxycycline. Last two times on augmentin so he switched But it’s really congested. How fast should I take action. To ent? To dental surgeons. Can the dentist drain it so it won’t go Into sinuplasty and won’t ruin the work he did ?
Brief Answer:
Can be inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the query.
Well as you have got the procedure done a day before only, then it is a possibility that congestion is due to inflammation and some swelling that is common after any surgical procedure.
So it is better to get checked by your Dentist once.
It can get better gradually , however to reduce the symptoms you can be advised medication to reduce inflammation.
But better get checked once.
Thanks
