Question : I had been taking levothyroxine for several years, but was somehow switched to jlevothyroxine. I am having insomnia now, irritability, palpatations. Will try to get my doctor to change me back...or find a new doctor. Is all of this due to the levothyroxine?
Brief Answer:
Thyroid
Detailed Answer:
There appears to be a typing error perhaps in your first sentence.
You have stated that you were switched recently from levothyroxine to jlevothyroxine.
Kindly clarify.
Did you possibly mean to write liothyronine somewhere? Because I do see you have mentioned in your lost of medications that you have tried.
In general, levothyroxine is recommended by thyroid experts worldwide. However taking the right doses is important, otherwise side effects can occur.
Liothyronine is typically associated with side effects like the ones you are experiencing
