Question : Hello Doctor,
I have Hypothyroidism since 2 years now. Medication has been ongoing till date with the dosage of Thyronorm tablets increasing per my tests and visit to doctors. Attached is my current report and mentioned are the current medications I am undergoing.
Questions from my side -
1. Can thyroid be cured in the sense medication can be avoided by yoga or any other means?
2. I am a regular gym goer since 10 odd years now. Of late, I have been losing weight (2 kgs in the last 6 months), more of muscle loss I would say. My diet/appetite isnt high frankly speaking - but any thoughts here from your side would be great.
3. Any other advice would be appreciated :).

Brief Answer:
still under treated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. cure is not the right word, we can only provide right care.
2. could not see your present dosing, report is still showing hypo state. need to further increase the dose.
3. gym is a good activity, muscle loss should not have occurred, may be because thyroid is not well managed.
4. increase protein intake, increase thyroxine dose, take it empty stomach, early morning, keep another 30 minutes fasting over the tablet.
5, make sure tablet is not exposed, standard brands
6. recheck after 6 weeks and let me know.
regards!
