Can Treatment With Morphine,Endone And Ocycon Result In Personality Changes?

Question: Can high dose/frequent dose (eg hourly) short term (several weeks) treatment with morphine and endone and ocycon result in personality changes, depression or other effects which may last for weeks or months? My nephew has had quite strong mood swings to the extent of breaking many household items including a computer and still suffers severe depression months later. He is refusing any medical help and stopped taking all medication except Panadol when his pain is marked.

Brief Answer:
yes, they may.

Detailed Answer:
in your prescription, i see that your nephew has been prescribed endone and oxycon. these are practically same medicine. both given together can case physical as well as mental dependence. these along with morphine can further increase the problems. you need to take help of a psychiatrist or a physician who helps the patients with drug abuse and dependence. panadol though is a safe drug.
