Brief Answer:
can be asymptomatic for years

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Trichomoniasis can be asymptomatic (no symptoms) or associated with a wide array of symptoms (bloody, frothy or purulent discharge), itching, discomfort on intercourse, burning on urination, soreness.

One medical study suggested that it can be asymptomatic in up to 50% of persons.

This means that up to half of persons with the infection may not have any symptoms.

IN terms of the time a person may remain asymptomatic, this can vary. It is possible that a person may remain asymptomatic for a long period of time including 10 yrs.

Even if no symptoms are present, the person would still be able to spread infection.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
