Question : I forgot to take my morning novolog 70/30 this am. I did not remember it until around 5:45pm. I took the 98 units at 6:00pm. Should I take my evening dose of 70 units before gong to bed?
Brief Answer:
no don't take evening dose now with morning dose
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I went through the query and understood your concern.
No. You should not take.
In fact you have taken 20IU extra for now. You should have good meal skipping the evening dose and continue the same schefule from tomorrow.
If any symptoms of hypoglycemia, then take sugar to reduce symptoms.
Also you should never replace or delay in taking insulin dose. The timing is fixed. Maintain a drug dairy for drug adherence.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries.
Wish you good health.
Regards
