Question : I accidentally gave my 3 week old son between 7,000-10,000 IU of vitamin D3 when he should have gotten only 500 IU. I was not careful enough at looking at the dosing instructions and I feel awful. He weighs 9.0 lbs. Should I be concerned about this single dose? Will there be long-term consequences? Should I get his blood calcium and Vitamin D levels checked?
