Question : My 9 year old has been prescribed 7.5ml cyclopam suspension/8th hourly for stomach ache( no acidity/ fever/ loose motion/ constipation/ nausea). However his weight is 30kgs ( mistakenly noted as 25kgs by doctor). And the effect of drug lasts 3 hours. Last dose was at 6 PM but he is having bad pain now. Can we give him a second dose?

Brief Answer:
Yes, you can

Detailed Answer:
Hi ,

You can repeat the dose now, as he was on inadequate dosage, and give 10ml instead of 7.5ml.
Then continue 10ml 3 times daily, 30 minutes before food. Also, avoid spicy/fried/caffeinated items in diet, take lot of fruits and vegetables and drink enough water. These measures will help to reduce acidity/flatulence related pain.

If the pain does not subside in 5 days, or if he develops additional symptoms like vomiting, loose stools or fever, we can evaluate further.

I hope this answer will help
