Irregular heart rate could be due to various condtions like hyperthyroidism, electrolyte imbalance,valvular heart disease and many more.
For this echocardiography is advised.
You should not stop the medicine, without ruling out these.
And also we should know the current status. So first thing you should do is ,get ECG done.
