Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back.
Rather the reverse is true. Wearing a mask protects us from airborne infections of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
A patient with lowered immunity (e.g., diabetics, cancer patients, people on chemotherapy or steroids, HIV cases, renal transplant patients, pregnant ladies and persons with extremes of ages) are more prone to get secondary infections.
Wearing mask is very rewarding for them.
Happy living.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
There are no adverse effects of wearing a mask on any of the body organs including the liver. At most, it can cause slight discomfort, skin irritation, or fogging of glasses.
In the globally evolving situation of COVID 19 infection, wearing a face mask is much more important as it protects against aerosol and droplet infections and no one should shy away from it on any pretext.
Hope that I have answered your query. Stay healthy and stay blessed.

Thank You very much, how about a lowered immune system? She says wearing the mask could cause her to become sick from bacteria
