Question : A friend wants me to join him for dinner tonite. We normally would have a glass or two of wine. This is my second day on lasics (20 mg/day) for the next 5 days. Is it safe to have wine with dinner? (I take the lasics at 6am in the morning.)

Brief Answer:
Surely, you can.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Surely, you can take a glass of wine with Dinner.

By virtue of it short duration of action, the lasix you have taken at 6 am will not have any effect at Dinner. And you can have have Lasix again at 6 am in the morning.

The best way to reduce the edema around ankle is to elevate that limb whenever you are resting in bed/ sofa in such a way that the heel is raised above the heart level. I hope you understood this. Take a support for the knee and calf muscle area to avoid aching. You will be very happy to see the results.
