Question : Can you Review My current Echocardiogram and Comment about it.? I didn't get much discussion about it with My Cardiologist. I am a Very Active Person. I ride my bike 5 miles a day and walk the same. Since I had this Echo test, i am not doing much activity. I guess I am Overly Concerned with maybe there is Something Serious going on with my Heart. I am eating properly and my Cholesterol levels lowered in one Month. My levels are 202 for Cholesterol / 132 for LDL/ 51 HDL. Previously it was 256/ 169/ 59. My Question is hiw does My Echocardiogram look? I attached my Echocardiogram. My Cardiologist wants me Also to get a CT-Aorta Scan. Thanks so Much. XXXXXXX

                                    Brief Answer:
Nothing serious on your echo report.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome on - Ask a Doctor - service!
I passed carefully through your uploaded Echo report and would like to explain that no serious cardiac abnormalities are found.
It shows presence of mild left ventricular hypertrophy (that is a slightly thickened cardiac wall), most likely due to long-standing uncontrolled high blood pressure values.
Coming to this point, a close BP values follow-up is recommended.
A mildly increased systolic pulmonary artery pressure needs further confirmation with echo follow-up. Investigation on possible pulmonary issues (acute inflammation, chronic pulmonary disorder, etc.), or other alternative issues should be considered in case persistent values are found.
You are on the right way of dealing with your previously high blood lipids values.
So, to conclude, nothing to worry about too much!
I would recommend to keep following the right way of treating possible cardiovascular risk factors (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, close smoking contacts, etc.) and follow a healthy life-style and diet.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above mentioned issues.
Hope to have been helpful to you!.
In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.
Kind regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
